Yashica Shah, MD
Dr. Yashica Shah is a New Jersey native and has received numerous Golden Apple Awards for excellence in
teaching, and received additional awards and recognition for her work in performing and analyzing ultrasound
imaging.
Her research, “Retrospective Review of Anesthetic Technique and Their Effects on Neonatal Outcome,” was
accepted by the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine in 2003. She interned at the Harvard-M.I.T., Division of
Health Sciences and Technologies (at Massachusetts General Hospital Dept. of Biological Engineering), as well
as the University of Pennsylvania Dept. of Radiology. Dr. Shah has been invited to teach continuing medical
education to nursing staff. She has also given seminars in the community on prevention of cancer, breast exams,
menopause management, and other women’s health issues. Dr. Shah has also been seen on The Learning Channel
(TLC) and has made television appearances on the popular show, A Baby Story.
Dr. Shah has been married for many years and both she and her husband are proud parents of two wonderful
children. During Dr Shah’s free time, she enjoys cooking, skiing, and attending her children’s activities.
Her favorite thing to do is vacationing to different countries with her family.
